One of the newer players in the residential upholstery segment, JP Home Furnishings, reported that it will expand its current line-up with the launch of JP Home for Business — a new B2B program offering retailers an affordable solution for their contract and hospitality customers.

The brand, which boasts American-made goods and contract-grade engineering by a woman-owned company, says the program is an affordable, easy option for retail partners looking to have options for commercial properties and specifiers in real estate, hospitality, healthcare, government, supportive, and transitional housing facilities, as well as other trade professionals such as designers, architects, and home stagers.

Launched during the pandemic when home furnishings sales were at an all-time high and the commercial furnishings segment plummeted, JP Home Furnishings teamed up with a twenty-five-plus-year-old High Point-based contract manufacturer to create a residential upholstery brand that would appeal to residential shoppers while maintaining the strict standards of commercial-grade furnishings. For this reason, according to Carla Mata, chief operating officer, the expanded line-up is a great solution for retailers and a seamless transition for the brand.

“Everything in our current offering, from foam to frame, already meets commercial standards,” states Mata. “Many contract accounts spec their own goods and provide their own fabric. We’re offering a seamless solution for retailers who want an off-the-shelf option for business accounts that come into their stores. Retailers will have a select offering of goods and a contract grade swatch handle to present, yet customers have the option of doing COM as well.”

Included in the program: Max Series: The four-piece Max series is a smaller scale “apartment size” collection made up of a sofa (74"W x 36"D x 36.5”H), full sleeper sofa (74"W x 36"D x 36.5”H), chair (31”W x 36”D x 36.5”H), and footstool cube (16”x16”x19”H).

Tess Track Arm Series: The Tess Track Arm Series for the commercial segment will also be made up of four pieces. A sofa (83”W x 38”D x 39”H ), sleeper sofa (83”W x 38”D x 39”H), loveseat (59”W x 38”D x 39”H), suite chair (35”W x 38”D x 39”H), and ottoman (32”W x 26”D), that offers transitional styling with a 3” leg, generously scaled track arm, and high back pillow. A 20” x 20”, 95/5 down blend, welted, with zipper pillow comes standard with the sofa and loveseat.

Carly Track Arm Series: With its 5” leg and moderately profiled arm, the Carly series is well suited for shoppers looking for a more refined space. A sofa (80”W x 38”D x 39”H ), sleeper sofa (80”W x 38”D x 39”H), loveseat (56”W x 38”D x 39”H), suite chair (32”W x 38”D x 39”H), and ottoman (32”W x 26”D), make up the collection. A 20” x 20”, 95/5 down blend, welted, with zipper pillow comes standard with the sofa and loveseat.

The collection can be seen at the company’s 215 S. Main Street (2nd floor) office and showroom during the October High Point Market, and by appointment during off-Market times.
