With its numbers matching 6.2-liter big-block V8 still intact, Volo Auto Sales has one of the best restored examples of the classic Dodge muscle car.

The Dart GTS is one of the models that helped reinforce Dodge’s image as a performance-oriented brand among young vehicle buyers in the 1960s. Its 300-hp output was more than enough for its compact design and appearance.

Here’s a yellow 1969 Dodge Dart GTS that is lurking inside the Volo Museum in Volo, Illinois. Repainted to its original color, this Dart GTS still comes with a number-matching original 383-ci big block engine. It’s a great find for those looking for a classic Dodge.

According to Jay Grams of the Volo Museum, this 1969 Dodge Dart GTS is a rust-free car with original metal. The compact muscle comes repainted in its original yellow smooth glossy finish, although a GT stripe has replaced its bumblebee decal stripe. Its vinyl top still looks great. Its original glass, bumpers, GTS rear tail panel trim, door handles, and grill are also all good. This Dart GTS rides on 14-inch deep rims with dog dish hubcaps.

Inside, this Dart GTS features bucket seats and a console, as well as a clean dashboard. Jay remarked that its bezels, heater controls, and factory AM-FM radio remain in excellent shape. Featuring a new glovebox liner, the car comes with a deluxe steering wheel with a vintage Moon tachometer. Its floor carpets are still in good condition, while its door panels and upholstery look new. Jay added that the car also comes with a replacement headliner.

Under the hood of this 1969 Dart GTS is a numbers-matching original 383-ci big block motor. Although it looks stock externally with the correct exhaust manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner, and carburetor, the 383 engine features performance internal upgrades, thanks to a rebuild.

Its distributor, alternator, and horns are still in good condition, and so are its original Mopar radiator, shroud, and Mopar reproduction battery. In addition, this Dart GTS features an upgraded 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission with a performance stall converter.
